Today in class it was more talk on Abraham Lincoln
Except today it was focused more on 'what was the cause of the revolution?'
Some people believe it is slavery,
But i believe his objective still was to keep the union together.
I think his statement that the objective of the war changed from a whole union to slavery
is a lie.
I think that slavery was just a way for Lincoln to recrute more people for the Union(North)

  1. Do you mean "revolution" or the Civil War or the Great Rebellion? And, yes, there is no question that Lincoln needed enlistments to go up and the Emancipation Proclamation allowed for African Americans to enlist. Abolitionists were also now more likely to enlist to fight for the end of slavery.

  2. Mr. Boyle, that's a silly question, we're studying the Civil War! I meant revolution, as in the confederate states of America had in basics revolted against the North and seperated from us. I know it's a Civil War, revolution just popped into my head at the time.
